Trofeo Mediterráneo

A spring tournament on the Maresme coast north of Barcelona, played since 1988. Recent editions have gathered around 200 teams from four continents, from Spain, Argentina, Germany, France, the United States, Colombia, Denmark, Italy, Sweden, Zambia and many other countries.

Teams are drawn into groups, usually of four. The first two of each group go into the play-offs and the others play consolation matches. Winners lift a large cup in each age group; every team receives a small cup, medals and diplomas, the fairest team wins the Fair Play prize, and the top scorer and best goalkeeper of each category are rewarded.

Excursions: Barcelona with the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, Roman Badalona, and amusement parks such as PortAventura.

Applications close 42 days before the tournament starts. Accommodation and meals are paid in full at least 42 days before the tournament. Cancelling costs 40% of the accommodation and meals from 90 days before the start, 60% from 30 days and 90% from 10 days. The registration fee is not refundable.

Full board, price per person for 5 nights:

• 4-star hotel: players €384 in a triple or double room, €509 in a single room; the same for accompanying adults.

• 3-star hotel: players €344 in a triple or double room, €444 in a single room; the same for accompanying adults.

Teams stay in the hotels the organiser offers. Nearest airport: El Prat Barcelona airport, Girona airport. Airport transfer about €25 per person each way. Transfers between the hotel and the pitches about €59 per person. Registration fee per team for visiting teams: €150.
