About the tournament

Description

The Footvia International Tournament (FIT Cup) is played near Lloret de Mar and Santa Susanna on the Costa del Maresme: beaches, warm weather and hotels with pools, and strong opposition. Academies such as PSV Eindhoven, Olympique de Marseille, SL Benfica, QPR, FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol are regular guests.

A single-round group stage sends the first two of each group to the final stage and the third and fourth to a consolation round; fifth-placed teams finish there. Play-off games are knockouts without extra time, decided on penalties if level. The winner and finalist of each category receive trophies and medals, and the best player and goalkeeper are rewarded.

Around the venue: the Marimurtra botanical garden, the walled old town of Tossa de Mar, adventure parks, and Barcelona within reach.

Cancellation policy

Applications close 40 days before the tournament starts. Accommodation and meals are paid 20% at least 90 days before the tournament, 40% at least 60 days before the tournament and the balance at least 30 days before the tournament. Cancelling costs 50% of the accommodation and meals from 50 days before the start and 100% from 30 days. The registration fee is not refundable.

Full board, price per person for 3 nights:

  • 4-star hotel: players €255 in a triple room, €295 in a double room, €370 in a single room; accompanying adults €215 in a triple room, €255 in a double room, €320 in a single room. Extra night €65.

  • 3-star hotel: players €215 in a triple room, €255 in a double room, €320 in a single room; accompanying adults €175 in a triple room, €215 in a double room, €280 in a single room. Extra night €60.

Nearest airport: Barcelona El Prat Airport. Airport transfer about €20 per person each way. Transfers between the hotel and the pitches about €25 per person. No registration fee for teams staying in the tournament hotels.
