Barcelona Youth Cup

A spring tournament near Barcelona that has welcomed academies from Spain, Portugal, France, Sweden, Mexico and beyond every year since 2019, with the sea and the Catalan sunshine as a backdrop.

Every team starts in a group; the first two (sometimes three) of each group go on to the main play-offs, while the others play for a consolation cup. Every player receives a medal, the top three teams in each age group lift the main trophies, the consolation winners get their own cup, and every squad goes home with tournament photos.

Off the pitch: Gaudí's buildings, the Ramblas, the royal palaces and museums of Barcelona.

Applications close 30 days before the tournament starts. Accommodation and meals are paid 20% within 5 days after registration, 30% within 60 days after registration and the balance at least 45 days before the tournament. Cancelling costs 50% of the accommodation and meals from 30 days before the start, 80% from 15 days and 100% from 7 days. The registration fee is not refundable.

Full board, price per person for 4 nights:

• 4-star hotel: players €350 in a triple or double room, €500 in a single room; the same for accompanying adults. Extra night €80.

• 3-star hotel: players €310 in a triple or double room, €420 in a single room; the same for accompanying adults. Extra night €70.

Nearest airport: Barcelona El Prat Airport. Transfers throughout the tournament about €80 per person. Registration fee per team for visiting teams: €200–€250 depending on the category.
